Aaron Haynes, 54, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on February 11, 2026.

Aaron was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Mary E. Haynes and Lorenzo Gilyard. He attended Southeast High School and later earned his GED, along with several supervisory certifications that reflected his commitment to personal and professional growth.

Aaron built a dedicated career as an overnight supervisor for a mail sorting company and several convenience stores. He was known for his compassion and willingness to help individuals facing housing displacement. His vibrant personality and warm spirit earned him the reputation as the “life of the party” wherever he went. Above all, Aaron deeply loved his family and friends and cherished the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his five siblings: Larry Haynes, Erica Chalmers, Michelle Brown (Julius), Marcus Martin, and Kimberly Holloway; one niece, Essence Chalmers; and three nephews, Julius Brown, Jonathan Brown, and Larry Haynes Jr., along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family members.

Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Martin, and his stepfather, Michael Martin.
