Alberta Yvonne Bryant (Stoner)

Alberta Yvonne Bryant, 87, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025. She was born on September 6, 1937, to Ezra and Cyrene Stoner.

Alberta was united in marriage to Jerry Theodore Bryant, who preceded her in death on February 18, 2015. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in her family and community.

She is survived by her children: Tina Bires and her husband, Matthew Bires; William Guthridge; and Darren Guthridge and his wife, Kimberly Guthridge. Alberta was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Minor Stoner; and four sisters: Marguerite Reynolds, Barbara Bassett, Alice Garth, and Ann Wright.

A celebration of Alberta’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at New Landmark United in Christ, located on Paseo Blvd. in Kansas City, Missouri 64109.
