Alecia Ann “Lisa” Davis was born on October 18, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Elma Lee Davis. She was the only daughter of her beloved mother and was cherished by her family and all who knew her. Affectionately known as “Lisa” by her family and close friends, she was a popular and well-loved student at Southeast High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1985. Her warm personality and caring spirit allowed her to make friends easily. Throughout her life, Lisa often attended Trinity Baptist Church, where her Mother worshipped. The church was a familiar and meaningful place in her life. One Sunday, during Family Day, Lisa made the beautiful decision to rededicate her life to Christ. This special moment reflected her faith and her desire to renew her relationship with God. On June 27, 1987, Lisa welcomed her only child, Troy Jay Davis, into the world. Her son was her pride and joy, and she adored her baby boy dearly. Lisa cherished the special bond they shared. Lisa was also a proud grandmother to two granddaughters, Tatiyauna Davis and Maliyah Davis, and a grandson, Tru Davis. Being a grandmother brought her immense happiness, and she embraced the title of Nana with pride. Lisa had a heart for helping others. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a role that allowed her to fulfill her natural desire to care for and serve others. Her compassionate spirit and willingness to help those in need were a reflection of the caring person she was. Despite personal challenges she faced throughout her life, Lisa continued to love with her whole heart. She cared deeply for the people in her life and had a way of making those she loved feel special. Her life was not defined by her challenges, but by the love she gave, the people she touched, and the memories she created. In the wee hours of Saturday, August 22, 2026, Lisa departed this earthly life and began her eternal journey home. To welcome her to her heavenly home were her beloved mother, Elma L. Davis; her brother, Edward L. Davis; her grandson Troy'J Anthony Davis; her maternal grandparents, Willie B. and Annie Foster; and her favorite aunt, Mattie M. Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Troy J. Davis; her grandchildren, Tatiyauna Davis, Maliyah Davis, Tru Davis; her aunts, Eldora Purnell (Ernest) and Teresa Hardaway (Albert) of Memphis, Tennessee; her uncles, Jimmy Foster (Jessie) of Beloit, Wisconsin, Charles Foster of Racine, Wisconsin, and William Foster (Belinda) of Holly Springs, Mississippi; and her special friend, Felita GreenLisa also leaves a host of loving cousins, cherished friends, and classmates from the Southeast High School Class of 1985, all of whom will carry precious memories of her in their hearts. Though her earthly journey has ended, Lisa's memory will live on in the hearts of her son, grandchildren, family, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her. Her laughter, kindness, caring spirit, and the love she shared will never be forgotten. Lisa will forever be remembered as a daughter, mother, Nana, niece, sister, aunt, cousin, classmate, and friend. Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.”
