Amanda Joy (Wiegert) Bozarth

Amanda Joy (Wiegert) Bozarth, 42, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, at NorthCare Hospice House after a courageous battle with uterine cancer. Amanda was born to Steven Lester Wiegert and Angela Rosemary (Seyller) Wiegert on April 26, 1981, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Amanda leaves behind to cherish her memory two beloved daughters, Layla and Kathryn (Kate); her dad and bonus mom, Steve and Karen (Black) Wiegert; her sister, Melody (Wiegert) Ryan; her brother, David Wiegert; one very special niece, Méabh Ryan; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mom, Angela; paternal grandparents Lester Wiegert and Evajane (Sheele) Wiegert; and maternal grandparents Walter Seyller and Kathryn (Kohorst) Seyller.

Amanda was a joy who lifted the lives of so many. She never met a stranger and was a free-spirted, loyal, "tell-it-like-it-is" friend. She was witty and was always making people laugh. Amanda loved Jesus with all her heart, and she loved everyone alike, no matter where they came from. If she knew you, she probably prayed for you and possibly prayed WITH you. Amanda loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved hiking, camping, the beach, a beautiful sunrise, drinking coffee, and eating sushi. Her two daughters were her greatest joy and the light of her life. Amanda will be missed more than words can express.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Journey Church, 1021 Brown St, Liberty, MO 64068. Visitation is at noon and Service is at 1:00 pm, with light refreshments immediately following.
