Ardyce Connie Fisher

Ardyce Connie Martin Fisher passed away on June 14, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ardyce was born January 7, 1939, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Theodore Cecil (Bill) and Flossie Mae Martin of Wilder. They moved to Wilder from Caldwell when Ardyce was one year old. In 1957, Ardyce graduated from Wilder High School where she loved being part of the Thespians, Photography, and Choir. She married Fred Dan Hofeldt II, and together they had two sons, Fred Dan Hofeldt III and Scott Martin Hofeldt. Most of their married life was spent in the military. They lived in Hawaii, Washington D.C., Denver, Colorado, and Fargo, North Dakota.

In 1984, Ardyce moved to Idaho and worked for the Ada County Treasurer’s Office. In 1986, Ardyce married Wayland Bill Fisher, and they lived on the Fisher Farm in Eagle, Idaho. After Bill’s death, she moved to Nampa, Idaho, and then to Kansas City, Missouri, to live closer to her son.

Ardyce was a childhood member of the Wilder Assembly of God Church. She was warm-hearted, kind, and loving. She was motivated by a caring heart, never hesitating to do what she could for a friend or family. She had a special love for music, especially the saxophone. Ardyce was taught to play the piano by her mother and also played the accordion.

Her great love for the outdoors, fishing, and the ocean began during family vacations when she was a child. She enjoyed cooking and graciously entertaining friends and family. She will be remembered as a generous, fun-loving, kind wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Ardyce Fisher is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Flossie Martin of Wilder; her first husband, Fred Hofeldt II; her second husband, Bill Fisher; her son, Scott Hofeldt; and her brother, Eldon Martin.

Ardyce is survived by her son, Fred Hofeldt III (Natalia), of Smithville, Missouri; her sister, Phyllis Martin Ivie of Caldwell, Idaho; granddaughters, Lacey Noyes (Phil) of New Hampshire, Nicole Ouellette (Joey) of Meridian, Idaho, and Arina Hofeldt of Smithville, Missouri; great-granddaughter, Devynne; great-grandsons, Hunter and Joseph; nephews, Keith Martin and Jeffrey Ivie; nieces, Teri Ferguson and Karla Ivie; eight great-nephews and five great-nieces.

It is with fond memories, love, admiration, and sadness that we say goodbye for now.

We will meet again… someday.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2nd at 10:00 AM at the Wilder, Idaho Cemetery.
