Benita Lynn Clark affectionately known as “Dink” was born December 1, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri to James Williams and Helen Clark (Webber). Benita was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District.

Benita worked various jobs in the Kansas City Missouri area. She accepted Christ at an early age. Benita enjoyed shopping, skating, dancing, and playing bingo. She loved being around and interacting with her family. She loved her family with an unconditional love and was close to them.

Benita and her nieces form a bond, and she called it “The Pretty Girls” from the “Pretty Girls Club.” She would have everyone laughing that was around. She was the life of the party, and she did not have any problem speaking her mind.

Benita departed this life on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Research Medical Center. She was preceding in death by her mother, Helen Clark Webber, one brother Leo Webber, six nephews: Daryl Clark, Thomas Clark, Darrell Clark, Stephen Clark, Byron Clark Jr., and Kenyon Mosby.

Benita leaves to cherish her memory, father James Williams, four brothers: Azar Clark (Sheila), James Williams Jr, Byron Clark (Lecia), and Thomas Brewer (Teralisa), six sisters: Marilyn Wheeler, Clara McAfee, Sharon Sparks, Sheila Clark, Kim James and Annie Mae McGill, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday March 12, 2026 at Golden Gate Funeral and Cremation Services LLC, 2800 East 18th Street, Kansas City, MO. 64127.The Visitation will begin at 2-3pm. The service will follow at 3pm.
