Bertha Ruth Brooks Laster

Bertha Ruth Brooks was born on October 11, 1929, in Pelican, Louisiana to Joseph and Bertha Brooks.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Good Samaritan Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri. She retired from nursing after 30 years.

Ruth met Tiny Laster and this union was blessed with one son, Michael Laster.

Ruth enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing, watching her grandkids, traveling, and fun trips to the casino.

Ruth was a resident of Kansas City, Missouri when she elevated from this earthly life, June 22, 2022. She was preceded in her transition by her husband, Tiny Laster; parents, Joseph and Bertha Brooks; brother, Willie Brooks (Elyria, Ohio); and sisters, Ollian Wiseman (Elyria, Ohio), Mary Alice Davis (Elyria, Ohio).

She leaves to celebrate and cherish unforgettable memories; son, Michael Laster; grandsons, Mikee, Keeper and Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a special friend, Bonita Smith, and Crossroads Hospice.
