Beverly Ann Young

Beverly Ann Young was born on February 16 1954 in Brooklyn, New York to Alvin Young and Hazel Ruth Johnson. She gave her life to Christ at a very young age and she graduated at Forest Hill Highschool. Beverly and John Moody met and married and had 5 children together. She started attending Harvest Church in 1994 and became a longtime church member. 

Beverly attended the Harvest Bible institute , where she received a certificate in ministry . Beverly worked at commerce bank for 5 years then attended Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley from 2008-2014. She was a prayer warrior and a true woman of God. She enjoyed Photography, Art and also loved attending harvest church. 

Beverly peacefully departed this life on 03/22/2025. Hazel Ruth Johnson her mother, Alvin Young her father, Alvenia Phillips her sister and her brother Ronald Young and Joanna Epps her daughter preceded in death. Beverly leaves to cherish her memory of her children Michael, Rachel, Sarah, Elisha and Jeremiah. Also her siblings Sheree Johnson, Dondi Young and Belinda. She has 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Beverly will be acknowledged for being a good and faithful servant of the Lord and spreading the gospel wherever she went. She will be truly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC, 2800 E. 18th St., Kansas City, MO 64127. The visitation will begin at 10:00am, the service will folow at 11:00am. She will be interred at Brooking Cemetery, 10004 E. 53rd St., Kansas City, MO 64133.
