Cecelia “CeCe” Tolbert was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Esther Mae Harris and Robert Tolbert Sr. She was educated in the Kansas City School District and graduated from Central High School.

CeCe worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she built a meaningful career, formed lasting friendships, and touched many lives through her care and compassion.

She was never married but was blessed with one child and two grandchildren. CeCe enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and dancing—earning her the nickname “The 2-Step Queen.”

Cecelia “CeCe” Tolbert departed this life on January 15, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Tolbert Sr. and Esther Mae Harris, and her brother, Marvin Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Yvette Tolbert; her grandchildren, Alexion Oliver and Amare Taylor; her brother, Robert Tolbert Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
