Cheryl Ann McNamara, aged 76, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, in Leavenworth, Kansas. Born on September 13, 1949, in Hays, Kansas, Cheryl brought warmth, adventure, and joy to everyone who knew her. Cheryl lived in Rosamond, California, for many years before moving back to Kansas, where she resided in Tonganoxie. She spent her life embracing the world with open arms. Cheryl had a profound love for travel, always eager to explore new places, experience different cultures, and create lasting memories along the way. Above all, her greatest journey and truest joy was her family and close companions, to whom she was fiercely devoted. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Estelle Vsetecka; her baby boy, Brian; and her best friend, Lyn King. Cheryl’s legacy of love lives on through her two children, Brian and Heather; her sister, Michelle; and her brother, Charles. She was the cherished grandmother of five grandchildren, Niki, Tori, Tyler, Brianna, and Zack; and the proud great-grandmother of five great-grandchildren, Marlana, Grayson, Diana, Skyler, and Jensen. Her family and friends will forever remember her adventurous spirit, her kind heart, and the unconditional love she showered upon them.
