Claude Leon Lytle

Claude Leroy Lytle was born on October 11, 1961, to Claude Leon Lytle and Mildred katherine Lytle Williamson in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the youngest child born to this union.

Claude received his education in the Kansas City Public School District, and he attended Bishop Hogan High School. He worked in the hospitality industry until his death.

Claude accepted Christ at an early age at Zion Grove M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A.L. Johnson. Claude later joined Concord Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Ronald Lindsey.

In his spare time, when he wasn’t working, Claude enjoyed playing cards and the typical card games that he and his friends liked to play. Family time was very important to him, as well as spending time with his best friend, Tiger. They had the best times when they were together! If you knew Claude, you knew he loved to have fun and laugh! The one thing we can all say about Claude is that he had the “Gift of Gab”! If you sat and talked to him for long, he could convince you of anything or talk you out of anything! But we all knew, if he called you his friend, then you knew you were his friend. And that was Claude!

Claude quietly departed this life on Monday, July 21, 2025, with his special friend, Phenique Garner, by his side.

Claude was preceded in death by his father, Claude Leroy Lytle; his mother, Mildred Lytle Williamson; and his sister, Claudia B. Lytle Wesley.

Claude leaves to cherish his memory his only child, one son, Claude Leon Lytle Jr. (Britney); two grandchildren, Anayah R. Lytle and Azari B. Lytle; one sister, Gail Rosborough (James); a favorite cousin, Kim Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 08, 2025 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 8640 Sni a Bar Rd, Kansas City, MO 64129 at 11:00am. There will be no visitation.
