Cynthia J. (Bailey) Henning, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. She was born on November 24, 1952, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Jerry Dean Bailey and Wilma Jean Bailey.
Cynthia graduated from Russell High School and went on to complete nursing school, dedicating her life to the service of others in the medical field. She worked with compassion and skill as a Licensed Practical Nurse, dialysis technician, and surgical nurse, serving in a variety of hospitals and nursing homes throughout her career. She was blessed with two children, and later married Timothy Henning. Cynthia deeply cherished her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and many friends. Her warmth, resilience, and sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her son, Tony Scheck; her brother, Stanley Bailey; her parents, Jerry and Wilma Jean Bailey and the father of her children, Roger Scheck; . She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tane Scheck-Gassman (Jeffery); her brother, Doug Bailey;seven grandchildren: Dyllan Barenberg (Catarina), Taylor Barenberg (Tryston), Landen Barenberg (Savanna), Tressidy Newman (Jerry), Desiree Shaw, Alyssa Scheck, and Hayley Scheck; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Cynthia’s legacy of care, kindness, and unwavering love lives on through her family and all those she touched throughout her life. Cynthia departed this life on May 2, 2025 at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Home. She will be forever loved and greatly missed!
