Daijon Tyreece Estell “DayDay” was born 10/09/2000 in Kansas City, Ks to Shantel Yvette Stewart and Wilbert James Estell III” BJ”. Daijon completed his early education in the Shawnee Mission School District and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest Highschool. He worked driving box trucks and several warehouse jobs. Daijon attended Greater Pentecostal Temple and participated in the youth ministry under the leadership of Bishop Marvin E. Donaldson.
Dayday was a caring son, brother, cousin, and uncle. He loved his family. His smile and presence would light up any room. He took on the role and responsibility as a father figure to his nephew Raymond Traevon Cherry II “Deuce” and made sure he was always there for his little cousin Marquise Leman Rose Jr “Baby Quise” Daijon enjoyed being with family and friends. Giving back to the community by coaching youth football and mentoring many in basketball. He loved to play basketball, play his Xbox, protect his family, laugh, and crack jokes. Daijon departed this life on 03/21/2025. Wilbert James Estell III ” BJ”, Marquise Leman Rose ”Big Quise”, and Demarcus Houston Jr preceded him in death.
Daijon leaves to cherish his memory mother Shantel Yvette Stewart. Siblings Raymond (Andrea) Cherry, Dillion Thomas, Kirsten Thomas, and Kameron Thomas. Grandparents Edda Doyal, Sharon Boston, Wilbert Estell II, and Rodney Boston. Uncles Michael (Brandy) Doyal, Rodney Boston, and Rod Fugate. Aunts Lynetta Doyal, Ronda Reeves, Missy Fugate, Raqeisha Portley, Camille Davis, L’Trece Prewitt. And a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on April 12, 2025, at Greater Pentecostal Temple, 864 Splitlog Ave., Kansas City, KS 66101. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, with the service following at 12:00 PM.
