A Time to be Born

July 28, 1968 Darrick L Cummings was born to Patricia Duncan and Reginald L. Cummings Sr. in Kansas City, Mo. Darrick was the second child of three.

A Time to Live

Darrick attended school in the Kansas City, Mo school district. He worked labor ready jobs until his health failed him Darrick attended Paseo High School in Kansas City MO. He was active member of the John Thornberry unit of the Boys and Girls club of Greater Kansas City, MO and a member of the RBI Baseball League of Kansas City. Darrick had a great enthusiasm for all sports. Darrick spent his weekends or anytime a game was on watching college and professional sports. He was an avid CHIEFS and KOBE BRYANT fan.

A Time to Die

On February 11, 2026 Derrick departed this life after a lengthy illness. Darrick’s father Reginald Lewis Sr. preceded him in death. Also His maternal grandmother Rosetta Duncan and paternal grandmother Roxie Willis and his paternal grandfather Maceo Cummings.

A Time to Remember

Darrick leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Patricia Duncan, one daughter Brittany N Smith-Cummings two brothers Reginald Lewis Cummings Jr. and Brian Scott Duncan, four grandchildren Harmoni Smith, Kason Still, Andrew Still Jr. and Hayleigh Howard. His nephews Roman Duncan, Roderick Silas Cummings and his niece Korbynn Duncan. Darrick also leaves to mourn his passing his maternal aunts Carole Duncan, Deborah Courtney Jocelyn McField and Linda Duncan and a host of cousins, friends’ uncles and acquaintances

. A Memorial Service will be held Monday March 02, 2026 location Golden Gate Funeral and Cremation 2800 Benton Kansas City Mo. 64127 at 3pm. There is no Wake .
