Born on March 9, 1969, in Kansas City, David graduated from Truman High School in 1987. He spent his working years as a dedicated and hard-working man, driving for Coca-Cola, Roberts Dairy, and Vance Brothers, and later working on the assembly line at Kohl's Distribution Center.

David was a man who lived with passion and heart. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. Whether riding motorcycles, working on arts and crafts, watching or playing sports, or just cracking jokes to make someone laugh—he was always the life of the party. He had a deep love for rock music, often turning it up loud and singing along. In his younger years, he was known for having the fastest cars in town and even raced motocross as a teenager. He was a familiar face at the skatepark, often hailed as the “coolest dad” around.

David will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Kelly Moyer; his children, Jennifer Ham, Chase Moyer, and Carly Moyer; his stepchild, Mikael Walkers; and his grandchildren, Lily Hayes, Claire Walters, Casey Hanna, and James Hanna. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eiko A. Moyer and Paul G. Moyer.

Those who knew David will remember him as funny, strong, loving, and endlessly creative. His feisty spirit and huge heart left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A private celebration of life will be held for the family."
