DeAndre’ Ferguson was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, to LaTasha Ferguson and Michael Stevenson. From an early age, DeAndre’ carried a resilient spirit and a
heart full of compassion. He graduated from DYS School in Springfield, Missouri, and went on to serve as a Peer Counselor, dedicating himself to supporting others through Peer Support. Even in the face of adversity, DeAndre’ remained hopeful and uplifting—often reassuring his mother with the words, “I got this” and “I’m going to be ok.”
DeAndre’ was known for his infectious laughter, love of music, and deep appreciation for time spent with family. He found joy in the simple things—sharing jokes, dancing to his favorite songs, and cheering on his beloved sports teams: the Philadelphia Eagles, Golden State Warriors, and LA Lakers.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alonzo Hebron, and his uncle, Abuwi Ferguson.
DeAndre’ leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. DeAndre’ is survived by his mother, Latasha Hawthorne; grandmother, Janice Ferguson; sisters, A’Jay
Hawthorne and Cierra Parson; uncle, Charles Ferguson; and two nephews, Jayceon Green and Jayveon Hawthorne. He is also survived by his aunts Kesha
and Tameka Hebron. Each of them carries forward his memory with pride and affection.
DeAndre’ departed this life on August 11, 2025. Though his time with us was far too short, the light he shared continues to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
