Debra Richard

Debra Richard of Spring Hill Kansas was born July 17,1975 to Gerald and Patrica Hooper. She joined her Heavenly Father at the age of 50 on August 6th at the Olathe Hospice House surrounded by her loved ones. She married Chris Richard on June 23, 2007 in her favorite place on the beaches of Clearwater, FL. She worked as a CNA for 18 years in local Nursing homes. She said the best part of her life was raising her 3 daughters and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She loved spending time with friends and family, camping, fishing, hunting with her husband, Cleaning, and Cooking. Debra fought a long hard battle with diabetes and End Stage Renal disease. She lost her sight and some of her limbs due to diabetes. Debra continued to fight until her body was too tired to continue on. 

She is preceded in death by her mother Patrica Hooper, brother Michael Hooper, Niece Brandy Caudle, Mother in law Donna Richard.She is survived by her father Gerald Hooper of the home, Husband Chris Richard of the home, Daughters Rebecca/ Blake Ramshur of Dermott, Ar, Katie/Steven Newcome of Pleasanton, Ks, Patty Jo Slaughter/Jeffrey Hill of Spring Hill, Ks, Grandsons Colton and Stetson Newcome, Granddaughter Kayleeann Ramshur, Sister Amy/Darren Meyers of Gardner, Ks, Father in law Gary Richard of Ness City, Ks, her Nieces and Nephews And her Dog Sky who she loved very much. 

She will be cremated and we will have a Celebration of Life for her at her house in Spring Hill, Ks on September 27, 2025. Further details on her Celebration will be released to family and friends at a later date.
