Obituary

Derick Weir was born on March 26, 1992, and passed away on December 2, 2025.

Derick was raised with a strong spirit and a resilient heart. Throughout his life, he worked hard to better himself and took pride in rebuilding his future. He was known for his determination, physical strength, and commitment to moving forward, even after life’s challenges.

Derick was deeply committed to his beliefs and stayed true to his religion. He expressed his faith and identity through meaningful tattoos, marking his body with symbols that represented what he believed in and held sacred. Each tattoo told a story of his values, his strength, and his journey.

He was a hard worker and found purpose in construction work, where he valued structure, routine, and accomplishment. He was proud of how far he had come and the progress he made in his life.

Even while facing his own struggles, Derick had a generous heart and helped many people who were going through difficult times. He offered support, understanding, and encouragement to others, often putting their needs before his own.

Derick enjoyed video games—especially spending time on his PlayStation—staying active, and maintaining his physical fitness. Those who knew him well understood his desire to be valued, understood, and deeply loved.

Derick was never married and had no children, but he cared deeply for his family and those close to him. He shared meaningful connections with his loved ones and leaves behind memories that will be cherished.

Derick is preceded in death by his father, Richard Raymond Weir II; and his grandmothers, Janet Conger and Patricia Weir.

He is survived by his mother, Sunny Weir; siblings, Natasha Weir, Jacob Weir, and Autumn Weir; grandfather, Bob Gray; aunts, Shelly Taliaferro and Jenny Gray; uncle, Ronald Edwards; niece, Anna Dickens; cousins, Michael Haynes and Michele Haynes; great-aunt, Debbie Haynes; and many friends and extended family members who will remember him with love.

Derick’s life mattered. His faith, kindness, strength, and compassion for others will not be forgotten.
