Diana L. Newman (Johnson) was born on July 28, 1940. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Howard Johnson and Louise Johnson she was known as “Dee” to all. She had one brother Joe and three children Angela, Michael, Charles Jr.
Diana attended Manual High and Vocational School and High School Graduate in Commercial Art. Diana worked at Hallmark Cards for 20 years. She always stayed busy working several jobs over the years Volume Services, Crowd Services, Hancock Fabrics, Sprint Center.
Diana was also known to have parties/talent shows trying to promote talent within the Kansas City Area. Also, back in the early days was well known to the radio station KPRS as “Darling Diana” the staff knew her very well.
Diana’s favorite hobbies are art design, sewing, and joining the Pioneers Club for the senior citizens. She was also well known for printing & selling t-shirts as a side hustle.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Louise & Howard Johnson, “brother” Joe Johnson, “son” Charles “Tim” Johnson Jr., “niece” Carol Blackmon, “step-daughter” Charlena Davis, “grandson” TaeVeon Johnson.
Diana leaves to cherish her memory, 2 children, Angela Johnson (Russell Clay), Michael Johnson (Tanya Johnson), Grandchildren, DeAndre Johnson, Tyjon LaMaster, Ma’Zhae Johnson, Charles Johnson Jr., Tae’hon Johnson, Niece, Carol E. “Gennie” Charles and host of many cousins and very close friends.
