IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earlean
Miller
February 7, 1942 – March 17, 2026
Remembering Earlean
Earlean Miller, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026 at home with her
family next to her. She was born in Lambert, Mississippi, to the late Albert Sr. and Bridellar Pryor.
Earlean was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Miller Sr.; her daughter, LaVoyce “Anne” Tucker; her great-granddaughter, Naomi Wood; and her siblings, Sugar Bell Miller, Cleveland Pryor, Willie Pryor, Roy Pryor, John Ester Pryor, Albert Pryor Jr., and daughters, Laverne Merrick and Linda Douglas.
Earlean was a God-fearing woman whose life reflected love, sacrifice, and unwavering faith. She devoted herself selflessly to her family, always placing their needs above her own. Her nurturing spirit and quiet strength were the foundation of her household and a blessing to all who knew her.
At a young age, Earlean moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she later met the love of her life, the late
Jimmie Miller Sr. From this beautiful union, three children were born, and together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family.
Earlean was educated in the Kansas City Public Schools and graduated from Central High School. She later began a dedicated career with Harte Hanks. Earlean made the heartfelt decision to retire in order to lovingly care for her husband and daughter, a testament to her deep commitment to family and service.
Earlean was a loyal and faithful Evangelist. She was a member for over 50 years at Miracle Temple, later renamed Sterling Full Gospel Church. She cherished her church family and held deep respect for the leadership of Pastor Daniel Gibbs before his move to Texas, and Pastor Raymond Cox, who faithfully carried on the ministry. Her faith was evident in her daily walk, her love for reading the Bible, and her passion for spreading the word of God.
Earlean found joy in spending time with her beloved family, shopping at thrift stores, and sharing her wisdom and love for God with those around her. Her presence brought comfort, guidance, and warmth to everyone she encountered.
Earlean leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children, Tyrone Tucker, Latoya Miles (Donald), Jimmie Miller Jr., Yuelonda Millr, Jamala Garrett, and Andrea Miller all of KCMO. Her siblings, Clarretha Williams of KCMO, Bertha Lee Ward of St. Louis, MO and Albert “AC” Charles of Harrisburg PA. Her aunties, Mae Francis Bishop and Oralee Holmes all of KCMO along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Also, a very special bonus daughter, KaTrina Thompson.
Earlean’s legacy of faith, love, and selflessness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
