Ebony Shenika Duncan

Ms. Ebony Shenika Duncan was born August 2, 1979, to Marilyn (Cookie) Anderson and Samuel Duncan at St. Lukes hospital. Ebony was educated at Missouri job corps where she achieved completion of her G.E.D and CNA license at the same time, all while being pregnant. Over the years Ebony worked hard to also achieve many certifications in the healthcare field such as, CMT, Phlebotomy, Med tech. She even went on to graduate from culinary arts school. 

Ebony held many occupational jobs to support her family, but for the majority they all consisted working in the health field. During her life Ebony accomplished an array of things, most of all being a loving daughter, sister, niece, auntie, cousin, and friend. Ms. Duncan enjoyed spending time with family and friends and dressing exceptionally well, but this was only when she wasn’t working, of course as we know she was a very dedicated and hard worker. 

Ebony Shenika Duncan sadly departed from this earthly life on October 31, 2023. Ebony is preceded in death by her mother (Marilyn) and her grandparents George Duncan and Beaulah Duncan. 

Ms. Duncan leaves behind to cherish her beloved beautiful memory, three daughters, Kailynn Darden (28), Essence Williams (21), Ebony Williams (20). Five beautiful grandchildren, Four brothers, Samuel Duncan, George Duncan, Marcus Duncan, David Duncan, three sisters, Danielle Harvey-Lieto, Delisa Harvey, Deanna Harvey. Ms. Duncan also leaves behind an array of loving uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends. Ebony was a beautiful ray of light, truly an angel on earth with the most contagious smile. She will forever be missed and never forgotten. May she rest in love and power.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday January 25, 2024 at 3 P.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., Kansas City, Missouri 64127.
