Eugene Pruitt

Eugene Pruett Jr. was born November 26, 1957 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Eugene Pruett Sr and Ira Jones. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and received his education at Job Corp. He was a self employed contractor. 

Gene loved life. He fought a good fight until his dying day. We called Gen, “Mean Gen”. He always had a tough guy persona but had a heart of gold. He loved him some Ruby; Gen was her ride or die. He was always there for. Gen enjoyed watching football and tennis. You would not catch Gen without a tall can in his hand.

Eugene Pruett Jr. passed away on January 17, 2024 at the Hospice House. His mother Ivory Jones and brother Anthony Jones preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory significant other, Ruby Martin; step-children Rochelle Martin and Aubrey Martin Sr.; Grandchildren, Aubrey Martin Jr., Elise Martin, Aubriona Lyons and Zahmya Robins; Great-grandchild Aubriyonna Martin; Neice and Nephews Marvell Howlett, D’Anthony and Mya Jones (mother Kimberly Jones); Sister-in-law Brenda Jones; Uncle James Lee Jones Sr. of Forrest City, AR. Cousins  James Lee Jones Jr. and Evelyn Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, and a host of other relatives and friends.
