Floyd Thomas Adams was born on September 15, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Larene Edwards and William R. Jackson.
He was educated in the Kansas City Public School System and graduated from Lincoln Senior High School. He also attended culinary school. Floyd was a dedicated employee at Gines Cleaners for many years of his working life.
Floyd was blessed with one daughter, Eunique Mornae Strozier.
He enjoyed baking for family and friends and loved laughing. He also found great joy in giving to the United Negro College Fund and the Arbor Day Foundation.
Floyd T. Adams was called home on May 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larene Edwards and William R. Jackson; grandparents, Beulah (Edwards) Brimm and Alfred Thomas; siblings, Lonnie Adams, Willie Adams, Darlene Adams, Alfred Adams, Waymon Adams, Otis Adams, Dorothy Adams (Davis), Margaret Adams (Pettis), and Clarence Jackson; nieces and nephews, Angela Pettis, Darly F. Adams, Merry Williams, Fonzell Adams, Thurman Adams, and Sharon Williams (Frazier); and his aunt, Jean Thomas Freeman.
He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Renard D. Jackson, Lloyd Adams, and Juanita Adams Brown; daughter, Eunique Mornae Strozier; aunts and uncles, Cecelia Thomas (Simmons) of Compton, California, Pete Thomas, and Alfred Clark of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces and nephews, Lawanda Adams Howard (John) of Moreno Valley, California, Shirl Adams Sutherland (Richard) of Carson, California, Jerry Berrion Jr. and Karaem Adams of Kansas City, Missouri, Sherry M. Williams Cox (Derrick) of Colorado, Regina A. Williams, Shelley W. Williams Jr., Jimmy L. Williams, Antionette M. Pettis, Sammy L. Pettis, Michelle Martin, all of Kansas City, Missouri, Yolanda M. Adams, Angela P. Adams, Michael D. Adams, all of the Chicago area, Derrick E. Adams of Georgia, Crystal Adams, Alphonso Adams, Starla Adams, and April Adams, all of the Chicago area, and Willis "Little Man" Jackson of Colorado.
He also leaves a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, family members, and friends not mentioned but not forgotten.
Grandsons include Rodney Strozier and Raymon Strozier. Granddaughter, Ryan Strozier. Great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Raymon Jr. (RJ).
