Harold "Ray" Clifton, 79, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully with family at his side on April 14, 2026. Born in Hamburg, Iowa, and raised in Rockport, Missouri, Ray served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

After his service he pursued higher education at Maryville University and Tarkio College and earned a master’s degree from the University of Missouri. He spent the past 47 years as a resident of Raymore, Missouri. A lifelong entrepreneur, Ray spent more than 40 years as a real estate broker and owned several private businesses. He loved a good idea, embraced risk, and met life with the optimistic energy of a natural businessman and problem-solver. Above all, Ray was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He offered steady love, wise counsel and unshakable belief in those he cared about. Family and friends remember him for his warm heart, larger-than-life personality, constant encouragement and faithful prayers. Ray was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri Tigers fan and treasured the time he spent watching games with his grandson, Jonathon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll "Curtis" and Helen Clifton; brother, Gary Clifton; and grandson, Alex Haston. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Aileen Isaacs (David) and Lori O’Malley; and grandchildren, Brittni Newman (Josh) and Jonathon O’Malley. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life service. Ray will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.Rest easy in heaven, Grandpa. We love you.
