Hazel Mae Ramzy was born January 12, 1934 in Kistler, West Virginia to Will Harris and Mattie Harris (Owens). 

Hazel was educated in the Kistler, West Virginia public school district. She worked in the healthcare field for many years until she retired. 

Hazel was blessed with one daughter, Alexis Wright.  

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. 

Hazel departed this life on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Her parents; daughter, Alexis Wright; siblings, Ruby Harris, Christine Miles, June Watkins, Geraldine McBride, James Harris, Eugene Harris, William Harris and Victor Harris all preceded her in death.

Hazel leaves to cherish in her memory five siblings, Cleo Harris, Norma Jean Mendez, Cathelene Hamilton, Acquanitta Patterson and Michael Harris; three grandchildren, Teree Wright (Joseph Taylor), Edward Montee Wright, and Marquita Dunbar; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
