Isaiah Kevin Maxi was born August 16, 1994, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Kim Alexander-Maxi and Bertrand Maxi.

Isaiah's commitment to personal growth and excellence was evident in his education. He attended Center High School, where he was known not only for his academic dedication but also for his leadership and character. After graduating, Isaiah furthered his studies at Fort Hays State University, earning bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Organizational Leadership. His time in school was marked by resilience, discipline, and a drive to make a positive impact in his community.

Isaiah was currently employed by Burrell Behavioral Health of Kansas City, Missouri.

Isaiah loved spending time with his family and friends. He also had a love for football, basketball, hiking, meeting new people, and trying new things. Isaiah enjoyed listening to music and volunteering his time to help out a number of nonprofit organizations. He was a source of encouragement and inspiration to those around him, always lifting others even in the midst of his own challenges—a true humanitarian.

Isaiah Maxi departed this life on July 10, 2025, at the age of 30. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kim Alexander-Maxi; maternal grandfather, George Alexander; maternal great-grandmother, Ruby Walker; paternal grandfather, I'Mel Maxi; and paternal grandmother, Alena Mantor.

Isaiah leaves to cherish his memory his father, Bertrand Maxi; stepmother, Nicole Maxi; grandmother, Shirley Alexander; brothers, Glen Fortune (Sarah), Emmaniel Maxi, Jules Maxi, Ally Maxi, and Guerchon Maxi; sisters, Bertranie Maxi and Alesha Maxi; niece, Ga'Nae Pettiford; nephews, Elijah Jones, Gabriel Fortune, Donovan Curtis, Leo Fortune, Kai Maxi, and Kaiden Isaiah Maxi; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Center High School, 8715 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131. The visitation will begin at 9:30am, the service will follow at 10:30am.
