Jack Reed Outlaw

Jack Reed Outlaw, 77, peacefully passed away on September 25, 2025, at Blue Springs Wellness & Rehab in Blue Springs, Missouri, surrounded by his daughter Angela, grandson Justin, granddaughter Brittany, and best friend Johnny “Wirehead” Weaver.

Jack was born on August 5, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Jack Robert Outlaw and Dorothy Caroline (McMillan) Shaw. He earned his GED and worked various jobs throughout his life. Jack was a talented artist and leather worker, an avid reader, and most importantly, a devoted grandfather.

On January 17, 1976, Jack married Linda Mae (Ramsey) Outlaw, and later that year they welcomed their only child, a daughter, Angela Lynnette Outlaw, born on November 23, 1976.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Outlaw (1977); his father, Jack Robert Outlaw (1973); his mother, Dorothy Shaw (2010); his brothers, Robin Shaw and Donald Lee “Peewee” Shaw; his stepfather, Earl Junior Shaw (2021); his aunt, Jean Outlaw Rupp (2011); his grandmother, Grace Outlaw (1990); his uncle, Jerry Outlaw; and many other beloved relatives.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Angela Moore (Cory Lawrence) of Independence, Missouri; his granddaughter, Brittany Moore (Kelly Allen) of Blue Springs, Missouri; his grandson, Justin Moore (Ian Curry) of Kansas City, Missouri; his only sister, Cecilia Gaye Roe of Kearney, Missouri; his brothers, Richard Shaw of Green City, Missouri, and James Outlaw of Arkansas. He is also survived by his nieces, Shelly Shaw and Stephanie Shaw; his aunt, Ruby Larose of Independence, Missouri; his nephew, Jack R. Outlaw; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, 2800 E. 18th St., Kansas City, Missouri 64127. Cremains will be interred at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Milan, Missouri, at a later date.
