James Jeffery Stephens

James Jeffery(Jeff) Stephens, a father, son, brother, and friend, passed away in Kansas City Kansas, on September 26, 2023. Jeff was born on February 15, 1955, in Webb City, Missouri to the union of Dr. Jim Stephens and Jerry Sain Stephens.  After Jerry's passing, Dr. Stephens married Martha Tucker Stephens and she took on the role as Mom to Jeff. He is preceded in death by his father and both mothers.

 

Jeff graduated from Parkwood High School, Joplin, Missouri, and took various college classes over the years related to the medical field because he loved learning.  He most recently worked at the University of Kansas Medical Center in the Environmental Services department.  His true love though, was sharing scriptures with others in hopes of bringing them to an active faith in Jesus Christ.

 

Jeff is survived by one son, Daniel Stephens of Kansas City, Missouri, whom he was very proud of and loved dearly.  He also leaves behind two sisters, Julie (Sandy)Stephens, and Penny(John) Chirby, and one brother Perry(Joyce) Stephens along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

There are no services planned at this time and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Golden Gate Funeral and Cremation Services.
