James Gary Lint

James Gary Lint, 90, passed peacefully to his eternal home on June 21, 2025, in the presence of his loving wife and stepdaughter at Kansas City NorthCare Hospice House.

Gary was born February 12, 1935, in Chicago, the son of Clyde and Lenore Lint. He grew up in Chicago, where he attended Hinsdale High School. Upon graduation, he attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

In 1956 Gary became first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, as a navigator/bombardier. He later moved to Kansas City, where he pursued careers at TWA, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Oak Park High School.

Gary and his beloved wife Norma were married for 45 years. They loved gardening and traveling together. Gary found joy in serving his community through various organizations. He was a proud supporter of the Kansas City Royals, a passion rooted in his service with the Royal Lancers. Active in his community, he was a dedicated member of the Gladstone Rotary, the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce, and Fairview Christian Church. He generously gave his time to organizations such as the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and Honor Flight, even accompanying veterans on their memorable journeys to Washington, D.C. He also served on the board of Northland Clothing Center and was a devoted fan of Oak Park High School basketball.

Gary is survived by wife Norma, children Bambi Harold of Ecuador, and James Russell Lint of Henderson, NV; grandson Eric (Sabrina) Lint and great grandson Soren Lint of Bend, Oregon;. stepchildren Deanne (Tom) Townsend and Clark (Anna) Spaunhorst, Tracey Nash and Kay (John) Modi.

A memorial service to honor Gary will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, 11:00am at Fairview Christian Church, 1800 NE 65th St, Kansas City, MO. Interment will be later at Fort Leavenworth National Military Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairview Christian Church or Gladstone Rotary Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 28927 Gladstone, MO 64188.
