James Earl Smith

James Earl Smith was born in Kansas City Missouri on June 2, 1961 to Annie O. Smith and Elmo Kearney. James attended and graduated school in the Kansas City school district. James worked as an independent repair technician for over 30 years.

James met and married Laura D Wooten on May 14, 1981 and two children were born into that union.

James enjoyed playing spades with family at family gatherings, talking on the phone with family, watching Jeopardy, Law&Order and helping family in any way that he could.

James departed this life on June 13, 2025. James was preceded in his death by both parents, five sisters Clereatha Mbom, Berlinder Smith, Wrickey Roberson, Sheila Smith and B.Smith 2 brothers Terry Nicholson and Raymond Smith.

James leaves to cherish his memories 2 children, daughter Pamela M. Smith and son DeAnthony Q. Smith. Three grandchildren O’Naurion Smith, Par’ris Barker-Smith and Dream Smith. Brothers Larry and Lawrence Smith and a sister Kathy Smith. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
