With profound sorrow, the family of Jamie Phillip Lewis announces his passing December 26, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Born on February 18,1955 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Walter Verdell Lewis and Ruth Eleanor Lewis (Johnson), he lived a life shaped by challenges and deep, enduring love.

Jamie’s journey and relationships were not always easy, but he was fiercely himself and loved his family in the ways he knew how.

He will be remembered for his laugh, his love for story telling, his passion for music, and the lasting imprint he left on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica Moore; his grandchildren; multiple sisters and brothers; nieces, nephews, cousins; and many special people in his life who honor not only the good memories but also the complex, deeply human story of his life.
