Janice Hammonds

Janice Hammonds, age 72 of Kansas City, Mo was born on July 10, 1950 to Gertha and Claude Stewart. She made her heavenly departure on July 25, 2022.

Janice was a dedicated employee of Ford Motor, Co until her retirement in May of 1990. She was a member of Progressive Church, 2945 Bales, under the leadership of Rev. A.M. Hudson.

She was full of life and love, a free spirit who would do whatever she could to help anyone. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an interior decorator by design. Most importantly, she loved her family.

As she transitioned, she was surrounded by her loving and attentive daughter, granddaughters, and grandson in love —Tiffany L. Smith, Breana T. Parrish, Tori A. Smith and Deondre Ratliff.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertha Stewart, her father, Claude Stewart, her sister Linda Stewart and her son, Robert Smith, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Tiffany L Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many friends who will miss her tremendously.
