Jeanette Cleamons (Gardner)

Jeanette Clemons, 79, passed away at Truman Medical Center, Friday, June 7, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Jeanette was born April 6, 1945 in Guntown, Mississippi to parents James P. and Willie Bell Gardner. Her parents, along with her brothers James, Williams, L.C., Joe and Quitman "Jimmy" Gardner all preceded her in death.

Jeanette grew up and attended school in Guntown along with her siblings. She would spend every Sunday in church where she would sing in the choir along with her brothers and sisters.

Jeanette lived life according to her own rules. She had an adventurous spirit that would eventually lead her to leave Mississippi and move to Kansas City, Missouri. Jeanette spent the majority of her career working as a home health worker taking care of others. A career she enjoyed and spent over 20 plus years working as.

Though Jeanette embraced her new home in Kansas City, she was still a southern girl at heart. This was evident by her love of cooking and her affinity for good ole down home blues. She will spend hours playing blues records from some of favorite artist.

Jeanette is survived by her 3 children, son Victor Gardner (Becky, Mississippi), daughter Barbara J. Stubbs (Kansas City, MO), and son Quincy J. Stubbs (Kansas City, MO). A host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Sisters Louise Riddlespriger (Kansas City, MO), M. Earline Stewart (Bishop Paul A. G. Stewart, MS) and Willie Dale Jone (Guntown, MS). And a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is loved and will be missed dearly.
