Jefferson Thomas Nolte, lovingly known as Jeff, was born on August 8, 1979. Jeff was tragically killed in a car accident while traveling for work, leaving behind a family and community that loved him deeply.

Jeff grew up in Overland Park and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1997. Following high school, he spent ten years working at Fry’s Car Care. Jeff left the auto tech world to follow his passion for technology and pursued coursework in IT at Johnson County Community College. This path led him to a career at Axon, where he combined his technical expertise and automotive knowledge to continue growing professionally.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Meredith; his mother, Joan (John) Agatone; his father, Thomas Nolte; his brothers, Kevin and Nicholas Nolte; and his sister, Caitlin Nolte; his nieces and nephew, Rachael, Greyson, and Ryssa. He is also survived by two maternal aunts; two uncles and two aunts on his father’s side, along with their spouses and children; his step-siblings, Robert Agatone, Debbie Thayer, and Krissie Fanning; and many, many cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jefferson E. Borror and Edith Borror, and his paternal grandparents, George H. Nolte Sr. and Kathryn F. Nolte.

Jeff wore many titles: husband, son, brother, uncle, friend. He was a musician, a gifted mechanic, a barbecue master, a technology genius, and a knower of all facts. He loved football and was the biggest Kansas City Chiefs fan you could ever meet. Above all, Jeff was a steady presence for all of those lucky enough to know him. Though his time with us was far too short, Jeff’s impact was immeasurable, and his memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of his life will be held at Murphy’s Corner on March 15, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. Murphy’s Corner is located at 12843 W. 87th St. Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66215.
