Jessie was born June 24, 1988, in Kansas City, MO, to La’Toya Miller Campbell (Steve) and Jessie Ross Jr. (Dana). He really enjoyed sports, playing both basketball and football. He was a die-hard Chiefs fan. Jessie always played too much; he was always full of joy and loved dogs.

Jessie was a great father. He attended Ruskin High School and later received his GED. Jessie has six kids: Marquia, Jessie Joe, Jessie IV, Emmanuel, Kingston, and Amari. Jessie was a janitor and loved doing warehouse work.

Jessie departed his life on February 7, 2026. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mekeil; his stepmama, Dana Ross; and his grandparents, Delois and Jessie Sr., as well as his grandmother, Bettie Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memories his six kids; four sisters, Jessica, Ashley, Monique, and Kei’Shawn; and one brother, Anthony; three nieces, A’Miraycol, Blessing, and Kei’Aunia; one nephew, La’Briyan; two cousins that are like his sisters, Alyssa and Amaris; and a very special person, Marquis Flemons. Their love story was one of a kind. Any trials and tribulations, their love for each other always overcame anything. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at Golden Gate Funeral and Cremation Services, LLC, 2800 East 18th Street Kansas City, Mo. 64127. The visitation will begin at 2pm-3pm ,The service will follow at 3pm.
