Joseph Burns III

Joseph Burns III, AKA, “JoeJoe,” was born in Kansas City, January 14, 1972, to Lacy Burns and Joseph Burns Jr.
JoeJoe was educated here in Kansas City receiving his GED and he worked doing a host of jobs. One job he enjoyed work-ing was at True Faith Outreach Ministries Church with his Aunt Nella. JoeJoe was able to accomplish many goals he set in life.
JoeJoe enjoyed being with his grandkid, he was able to make plenty of memories with them. He was the best grandpa and Joe Joe LOVED to brag about his girls. They really meant the world to him. When he wasn’t bragging about his girls, he was out being fly. He loved to get dressed and be the life of the party. You would always definitely catch him with a big smile and some of the best dance moves!

Joe Joe was called home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lacy Burns, grand-mother, Glorious Burns, uncle, Archie Burns, and cousins, Larry Burns Jr. and Darrly McFadden Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his beautiful daughters, LaNease Burns (Derrick Draper) and children, LyRyck, LeDgyn; TreNease Burn, grandchildren, Taylin, Tyiely, Taelur, Taiden, Takiya; and Treasure, Journey and Kathy Burns and grandchild Brazil; father, Joseph Burns Jr. (Jackie); sisters, Connie Burns (Rodney) and Teena Burns (Jose); nephews, Darnell, Micheal, and Kevin; his grandfather, Joseph Burns Sr. (his daddy); aunt, Nella McFadden; uncle, Darrly; and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 8, 2023, visitation will be held from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. with services beginning at 12 P.M. at City of Life Church 2456 Park Ave KCMO.
