Juan Paul Walker Sr.

Juan "Shorty" Walker was born on December 11, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to James W. Walker and Comelia Walker.

He was educated in the Kansas City Public Schools and later worked at K.U. Medical Center, where he dedicated himself to helping others and making a difference in their lives. His commitment to service left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Shorty met and married, and from that union he was blessed with three children. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—watching football, going fishing, listening to music, and junking. His vibrant spirit and sense of humor made him unforgettable to everyone he encountered.

On June 3, 2025, Shorty departed this life. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and one sister.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving spouse, Donzell Baker-Walker; his children, Keasha Baker, Shonda Thomas (Wayne Thomas), and Juan P. Walker Jr. (Cynthia Walker); his siblings, Marland T. Walker (Carol Walker), Tony Walker, Carmen White (Timothy White), Susan Bostic, and James Brown Jr. (Rachel Brown). He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
