Ke’Land Maurice Hunter was born on May 8th, 2003, in Kansas City, Missouri to Sherron Lamasters & Gregory Hunter. Ke’Land, the youngest boy of 3 children, accepted Christ as his savior at an early age.

Ke’Land was educated in the Kansas City Public School district, completing up to 12th grade at Southeast High School. Following high school, Ke’land held multiple positions as a cashier and/or cook at companies such as McDonald’s and Taco Bell to name a few.

Ke’Land made a lasting impression with his affectionate laugh and smile on all he encountered, especially children. He loves his kids, family, and friends; his children are his pride and joy and would light up when he was around. Ke’land loves to play video games, wearing graphic socks and tees, and playing basketball. Ke’Land was also very helpful and would do whatever he could to help anyone

Ke’Land is survived by his mother, Sherron Lamasters, father, Gregory Hunter; Grandmother; Gloria Lamasters, Daughter; Reign Janae Hunter-Johnson (DeMonica Johnson), Son; Ke’Land Maurice Hunter Jr. (Ge’Brae Cooper), Sister; La’Kyla Hunter, Brother; Ke’Ron Lamasters, 3 half-sisters; Yasmin Hunter, Zion Hunter, Aniya Rose. Niece; Jaylani Hughes (Ke’ron), Nephews; Stephen & Ryan Griddine (La’Kyla) Godmother Shunda Williams. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends

Ke’Land is preceded in death by his great grandmother Bobbie Jean Jones, Grandmother Lenora Hunter, Grandfather Milton Elliot, Grandfather Garland Arnett, Niece Hailey Hunter (La’Kyla Hunter).

A service will be held Thursday June 4, 2026 at Lighthouse Church of Independence 14411 E. 33rd St. South Independence Mo. 64055. The visitation will begin at 10am-11am, with the service to follow promptly at 11am.
