Kenneth Wesley
Stratton
Nov 10, 1965 — Jul 16, 2026
INDEPENDENCE
Kenneth "Wes" Stratton, 60, returned home to his Heavenly Father on July 16, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1965, in Richmond, Missouri, to Kenneth Gay Stratton and Linda Sue Mallinson. At a young age, Wes moved to Independence, Missouri, where he later graduated from Van Horn High School. He spent his career in the trucking industry, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and determination.
Wes enjoyed spending his free time riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. He was an accomplished pool player and an exceptional dart player, earning several trophies over the years. A true jack of all trades, Wes was always willing to tackle a challenge and was known for his resourcefulness. Those who knew Wes will remember him for his stubborn determination, his quick sense of humor, and the laughter he brought to those around him. Wes was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Gay Stratton and Linda Sue Mallinson; his beloved wife, Debra Ann Stratton (Moore); and his siblings, Johnny and Peggy. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Stratton, and her children, Jozalyn (16), Rylie (16), and Xandyn (12); his son, Matthew Chester, and Matthew's spouse, Marissa; and their children, Kadon (19), Kaiden (16), Matthew Jr. (13), Karson (8), and Madilyn (10 months).
In accordance with his wishes, Wes chose cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family.
Wes will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
