Kevin Leroy Shelly

Kevin L. Shelly was born December 19, 1963 in  Kansas City, Missouri to George and Willie Shelly.

Kevin was educated in the Kansas City School       district. During his school years, he played       basketball for Southeast Highschool. Kevin was passionate about cooking. He went to school for culinary arts and spent time working at Trinity Hospital as a chef.

Kevin accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Kevin departed this life on Thursday, June 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by George Shelly (father), and Mary and Andrew Cothran (grandparents).

He leaves to cherish his memory, his only child, Sade Carson; his mother, Willie Shelly; siblings, Barry  (Lisa) and Keith Shelly; uncle, Vergil Cothran; aunt, Dorothy Cothran; grandchildren, Tajia Carson and Sa’Raia Yarbrough; nephews, Chris and Brian Shelly; one niece, Keisha       Johnson; best friend, Maggie Thomas; long-life  friend, Sheila Carson, and a host of other           relatives, and friends.
