Loretta Baird

Loretta Jean Baird, aged 72, passed away in Lee's Summit, MO. Born on October 3, 1952, Loretta spent her career as a beloved hairdresser at John Knox Village, where she brought joy and beauty into the lives of many.

Loretta was a passionate cook and baker, known for her delightful dishes that brought family and friends together. Her home was often filled with the aromas of freshly baked goods and the warmth of her loving presence.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Thomas; son, Jimmy Scogin; sisters, Beverly, Rita, and Mary Margret; grandchildren, Kelsie Phemister, Alan Sharp, Kayla Scogin, and Andrew Scogin; and great-grandchildren, Retzy Phemister, Dillon Phemister, Bryon Sharp, and AJ Sharp.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anne Phemister, and her granddaughter, Kymbur Sharp.

Loretta’s life was marked by her dedication to her family, her craft, and the simple pleasures of life. Her legacy of love and care will continue to live on through her family and all those she touched.
