Marcus Lee Ralls Sr. was born on May 7, 1982, in Missouri, to Sheila Veronica Morris-Smith and the late Willard Fred Ralls II. On July 12, 2026, at the age of 44, Marcus departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, curiosity, resilience, and love. Marcus was married to Cassandra Eaton for ten years, and following their marriage, they remained lifelong friends. From their union, they were blessed with two children, Marcya Lenette Ralls and Marcus Lee Ralls Jr. In a later relationship with Evette Wright, Marcus welcomed Markita Lenora Ralls and Mariece Leonardo Ralls.

Marcus carried in his heart his brother, Brandon Ralls, who has been missing since November 5, 2001. He never stopped hoping for answers, never stopped loving his brother, and never let Brandon’s memory fade. Marcus was preceded in death by his father, Willard Fred Ralls II; his grandfathers, Willard FredRalls Sr. and Robert L. Morris; and his grandmother, Gladys Morris (Wallace). He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted mother, Sheila Veronica Morris-Smith; his children, Marcya Lenette Ralls, Marcus Lee Ralls Jr., Markita Lenora Ralls, and Mariece Leonardo Ralls; his beloved grandson, MaKai Amir Ralls; his grandmother, Lenora Ralls; his siblings, Willard Ralls III, Marland Ralls, Mickayla Mitchell, Morianna Ralls-Hartley, Savannah Morris, Clinton Morris, and Mariah Morris-Smith; the mothers of his children, Cassandra Eaton and Evette Wright; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, cherished friends, and all whose lives were touched by knowing him. Marcus’s story cannot be told by the challenges he faced alone. He will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his creativity, his storytelling, his poetry, his artwork, his love of knowledge, and the conversations that could last for hours. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the stories he wrote, the wisdom he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave to those around him will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, 2800 East 18th Street, KCMO 64127. The visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 am, with the service to follow promptly at 10:00 am.

Interment will take place following the service at Parklawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Road, KCMO 64138
