Marquise Antwone Paige

Marquise Antwone Paige was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and a resident of Independence, Missouri, Marquise was a son, a brother, a grandson, and a true force of love, laughter, and loyalty. Marquise graduated from Blue Springs High School on May of 2014. He worked at Distributer Wire and Cable.Marquise never married and had no children. If you knew Marquise, you probably laughed with him whether you wanted to or not. He had a way of lighting up a room with his goofy jokes, unexpected one-liners, and that signature grin that let you know he was definitely up to something. He loved video games, good food, and spending time with his people. And if there was ever a plate being passed around or a game controller needing a player two, you could bet Marquise was nearby. Marquise departed this life on May 18, 2025.As a kid, Marquise was known for having a big head and a little body—and he never lived it down.

In fact, it became part of his charm. That unique combination, along with his fearless personality, earned him the nickname “Quise the Beast.” Marquise was bold, strong, and protective of the people he loved.

Marquise proudly and fiercely claimed the role of protector. He watched over his mom, his sister, and his grandma like it was his life’s mission; part security guard, part comedian, and always full of love. He showed up for the people he cared about, even when he didn’t feel like it or had nothing left to give. That’s just who he was.Marquise loved hard, laughed loud, and lived with a fire that was impossible to ignore. And most importantly, he loved God. It brings us peace to know that this isn’t the end of his story.

He’s finally reached his ultimate goal—to “Live in the Sky.” And we know when our time comes, he’ll be there waiting, arms wide open, probably cracking a joke about how long it took us to get there. Marquise is survived by the three queens of his life: his mother, his sister, and his grandmother. He also leaves behind many cousins, friends, and extended family who will miss his voice, his loyalty, and his one-of-a-kind presence. Rest easy, Marquise. Heaven just got a whole lot louder and a whole lot funnier. We’ll miss you, Quise.
