Marshall Stanley Haynes, was born on October 10th 1953 in Chicago, IL. He was the eldest of six children in the family and union of Raymond H and Eula M Haynes, five sisters: Gladys Haynes, Patricia Haynes, Lutrecia Kirby, Teresa Smith (Ronald) and Felecia Love his maternal family of Kansas City Mo. Melvin R Jeffries (father), Marshall was the eldest of five children: two sisters and two brothers; Traycee Fox (GA), Tammy Lipscomb (TN), Melvin Johnson Jr, and Gregory Stubbs his paternal family of Chicago IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Marshall was a Cancer survivor. He would later develop other health issues of which he would succumb and departed this life at his home on October 3rd, 2025. He was raised in Kansas City in his early youth but ultimately received his public education in both Kansas City and Chicago. He married his sweetheart Shekena Dabner in 1973, in this union was born a son Donail S. Dabner their union would later be dissolved. He eventually took permanent residence in St. Louis, Mo where he lived the majority of his adult life. He subsequently had two more sons Marshall Stanley, Marshall Terrell
Haynes and a daughter London Lashae Valentine of St. Louis, Mo.
He had a talent and passion for automotive detailing. He was employed by Haley Auto Sales and STL Detail South both in St. Louis Mo. for combined 40 years. In his life’s journey from his youth to his reign of affectionally being called an OG, he loved old school R&B music, gospel music, singing, playing cards and dominoes and playing basketball (he was in many ways an original trash talker on the neighborhood basketball courts). He displayed a lively personality on the 47th St neighborhood block with an infectious laugh and playful sense of humor. He was loved by all on the block that came to know him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, four children, seven sisters, two brothers, grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Marshall was a believer in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
