Melton Mitchell Priddy

Melton Mitchell Priddy passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri with his daughter, Melanie by his side. He was born on June 26, 1950. Melton, known to many as Mel, graduated from Stanley High School 1968. He went on to study 2 years of culinary school before ultimately helping run the family hotel business, The Motor Inn. After the hotel business, he dedicated many years to the remodeling business. His work reflected his hands-on spirit and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Mel found great joy in spending time with family, gardening, working on construction projects, watching his daughter and later on in life, his grandchildren dance and perform on stage. These passions brought him peace and purpose throughout his life.He is preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Margaret Priddy. He is survived by his twin brother, Michael Priddy (Cyndie); his daughter, Melanie Prickett (Eric); and granddaughters Mya and Harper Prickett. He is also remembered by nephews Aaron (Samantha), along with their children Willa and Rex; and Jacob (Alicia) and their child Noah.
