Monica Alva Roberts
Monica Alva Roberts was born in Weisbaden, Germany, to Bobbie Jean Roberts (Simms) and Kenneth Roberts. From the very beginning, she carried a spirit of adventure and strength that would shape a remarkable life.
She graduated from Southwest High School, where she earned the rank of All City Colonel in the Jr. ROTC. After high school, Monica went on to proudly serve her country as a member of the United States Army. Her sense of duty, discipline, and courage were evident not only in her military service but in every chapter of her life.
Monica grew up with a love for learning and a natural curiosity that led her to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri. With determination and brilliance, Monica earned her Bachelor of Science degree and went on to build a successful career in the pharmaceutical sales industry, where her work contributed to the well-being of countless others.
She was a loving mother to her daughter, Jasmine; a devoted sister to Adrienne, Cortez, Kenny, Kene (Kasi), and Reginald (Jessica); and a cherished daughter to Bobbie Jean and Kenneth. Her love extended to her nephews—Corey, Cobe, Kendrick, and Dallas—and her niece, TyLiyah, as well as a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
On May 27, 2025, Monica departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and strength. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to inspire.
As we honor Monica today, we remember her not with sorrow alone, but with gratitude—for the time we had, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave. Her journey continues in each of us, and her spirit lives on in every smile and every story.
Rest in love and peace, Monica. You will always be remembered.
