Monti Christopher Minor

Monti Christopher Minor was born on Sunday July 31, 1983 to Tommy Minor and Lori Byfield. Shortly after his arrival, his parents were married. Monti started his wild life in Kansas City, MO as the oldest of three boys. He attended Kansas City schools until he was nine when his parents moved their boys to Blue Springs, MO where they would meet many lifelong friends. 

He attended Blue Springs South until he moved on with Job Corps to experience volunteer firefighting where he fought forest fires then later earned a degree in welding. If you'd have asked him, he would proudly push that he received his GED and his diploma. Monti was involved in sports and even played semi pro football.Monti's job as an adult cannot be minimized to one particular title. He was hands on and could do almost anything that needed to be done. 

Monti's greatest accomplishments in his short life were his two boys Jace and Bentley. He had a heart of gold. He believed in second chances and forgiveness. He was blessed to marry the love of his life and made many friends along his journey. Monti did not know a stranger. We will all miss him.Monti Christopher Minor departed this life on Friday May 16, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father Allen Thompson "Tommy" Minor Jr., his paternal grandfather Allen Thompson Minor Sr., his maternal grandfather William Loyd Byfield, and his paternal grandmother Ruth Ann Sorisso. His is survived by his sons Jace and Bentley, his mother Lori Minor, his brother Nik Minor (and wife Danielle), his brother Travis Minor (and wife Tiffany), Three nieces Adilynn, Shea, and Annabel, two nephews Vance and Anton. Monti had many people he considered his bonus family plus many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

There isn't enough time to share all of his stories or give all the love that he would to the people here today, but the family would like to thank everyone for showing up.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday June 20, 2025 at 3 P.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC located at 2800 East 18th st., KCMO 64127
