Nelda Sue Johnson of Kansas City Missouri, went to her heavenly home on March 15, 2026. She was born November 22,1944, to William and Lois Brantley Johnson, in Fort Worth Texas. 

Delta is preceded in death by her life partner , l Ladonna , Drury, sister Mary Hatton, brother-in-law James Hatton and her parents.

Nelda is survived by her niece, Kristina Rutherford and her husband Robert Rivet Jr. of Jefferson Texas, Brittany Cobb, Katelyn Weaver and Shelbi Johnson, her great nieces from South Texas and many cherished friends.

She was a longtime member of Spirit of Hope MCC Church of Kansas City, where she volunteered in the Gift Shoppe and Cafe. Nelda was a great lover of animals and did part time dog sitting.

Nelda was an avid thrift store junkie. She had a unique sense of humor and was adored by her family and friends.
