Norma Jean Mosby ( Scott)

Norma Jean Mosby (Scott), also known to family and friends as Nermi, resided in Kansas City, Missouri until her time of death at the age of 72.

Norma was born to Norvel and Donald Scott Sr., in Kansas City, Missouri, February 18, 1951. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Her love for kids led her to become a teacher’s aide at Linwood elementary school in Kansas City, Missouri. She had a dedicated, life long career, as a store manager at Blankenship New Dimension for 40+ years. Retiring with many performance accolades she received throughout the years. She married the love of her life, Charles Mosby, who became a father figure to her two sons before his passing. She raised two sons with nurture and love until the very end.

Norma was a strong, loving, and caring person. She always greeted people with a big bear hug and a smile. She loved spending time with family and attending social gatherings. She was a passionate figure of strength who never wavered in her loyalty or love for her family. Her strength allowed her to persevere through several obstacles with grace. Always the life of the party, you were bound to hear her scream HEY, HEEEYYYY, when one of her favorite songs came on (usually Gerald Levert).

Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Mosby, two brothers, Donald Scott Jr., and Roy Scott.

Norma leaves behind two sons, Bryant Scott, Daniel Scott (Carmen Scott), one sister, Sandra Caldwell, one brother, Cornelius Scott, two grandchildren, Daniel Scott Jr., DanYale Scott, and two great grandchildren, MiKah Ashley, Marli Ashley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
