Patricia Ann Moore

Patricia Ann Moore, age 77, moved on to her eternal home unexpectedly on June 8, 2025.

Known as "Mom" to her children and "Pat" to most others, she was born on July 30, 1947, in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was the beloved only daughter of Aubrey and Ila Moore (Martin) and is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Bob Moore.

Patricia’s family moved to Kansas City in 1955 when she was 8 years old. She met and married Robert A. Viets in 1973, and together they had three children: David, Paula, and Jeff.

Patricia loved gardening and Hawaii, where her older brother lived for most of his life. She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to raising her children. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed all textile crafts. Pat also loved dolls and collected all kinds—she even made porcelain dolls and designed their clothes herself.

She adored cats and had a special fondness for the Siamese variety. Patricia also loved antiques. During her final working years before retirement, she worked at Unity Village on the Silent Unity Prayer Line—a testament to her love and compassion for others.

She was a devout member of the Kriya Yoga Institute and found much comfort and joy in her practice. She spent countless hours transcribing spoken-word recordings of pertinent Kriya Yoga messages delivered by her Kriya Guru, Baba, and attended many retreats, including one at the Ashram in India.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory her son, David Viets, and his wife, Jen; daughter, Paula Hobart, and husband, Scott; son, Jeff Viets; and three grandchildren: Alani Viets (22), Sam Hobart (15), and Avery Hobart (9). She also leaves behind her niece, Alanna Aiko Moore, and wife, Jan; as well as cousins Nina Crow, David Duggan, Laura Lee Henness, and Kent Duggan.

Rest in peace, Mommers. We love you so much and will miss you always.
